Ranee Traditional Thai Massage is an open air massage shop at my home in the Chiang Mai countryside, with a day-use herbal sauna and warm pool for the local Thai community and visitors to the Chiang Mai area alike. We are not a school, and do not claim to be. What we do offer visiting student / practitioners: a day pass in the countryside. A relaxed place to come, with no pressure of class days, or times, to just relax at our pool, herbal sauna, and open air massage shop for the day. You are also totally welcome to pull up a mat, sit and observe, and ask about my work on actual clients as it proceeds (all Traditional Thai Massages at Ranee massage are in an open-air Sala environment). My retired husband, Keith, from California, is also a long-time student of Thai massage, and is happy to sit with visitors to informally discuss the practice of Thai massage in Thailand and abroad; explore questions or observations that western practitioners may have about the practice; and, of course, exploring and sharing how the Thai sen lines intersect with the ways that the body actually moves when suspended and moved in the water.
